What we treat

A ring, hiss or buzz with no external source. For some people it is background noise. For others it dictates sleep, concentration, mood and conversation — and that second group is who this treatment is for.
Tongue stimulation
The Tonguetip, specifically designed to treat tinnitus, sits comfortably in the closed mouth. Tiny electrodes deliver mild and safe energy pulses to the surface of the tip of the tongue.
Bimodal neuromodulation
Two senses stimulated in a paired pattern drive changes no single channel produces alone. In trial, dual-mode outperformed sound-only therapy for moderate or worse tinnitus.3

How it works
Sound and tongue stimulation, paired — twice a day.
Lenire plays sounds through headphones and provides gentle pulses to the tongue via the Tonguetip. The sounds and pulses work together to retrain your brain, so you pay less attention to your tinnitus and it has less impact on your day-to-day life.

We test your hearing and build your audiogram, then configure the device to that profile.

We measure the change against your baseline and agree what comes next — many people carry on using the device because they have come to value the sessions.

Does it hurt?
No. The tongue stimulation is described as a mild tingling, and you control the intensity yourself throughout every session.
Will it get rid of my tinnitus?
There is no cure for tinnitus, and anyone who tells you otherwise is not being straight with you. The goal of treatment is to reduce the impact tinnitus has on your life so that it stops being a problem, whether or not the sound is still there.
How long before I notice anything?
A standard course runs twelve weeks, with check-ins along the way. Some people notice change earlier, some later, and some do not respond — which is what the assessment is designed to predict.
Are you the manufacturer?
No. Lenire is designed and manufactured by Neuromod Devices. We are an independent, authorized provider who assesses patients for the device, fits it and supports you through treatment.
Can I use it with hearing aids?
Many people have both hearing loss and tinnitus. We will look at your hearing at assessment and advise how the two fit together in your situation.
